These guidelines keep Sanjog Darpan a safe place for families. They are part of the terms of use.
- Be honest. Use your real details and recent photos of yourself. One profile per person. Do not misstate your age, marital status, education, profession, income or health.
- Be respectful. No harassment, abuse, threats, stalking or discrimination on the basis of religion, caste, community, language, region, disability or appearance. Declining an interest is a complete answer.
- Respect consent. Do not share another member's photos, details or messages outside the platform, and do not screenshot or re-post them.
- No money. Do not ask for or offer money, gifts, loans, dowry or financial help. Dowry demands are illegal in India and lead to immediate suspension.
- Marriage only. Sanjog Darpan is for adults seeking marriage. No dating, casual, commercial, promotional or recruitment use.
- No impersonation. Do not create a profile for someone without their knowledge and consent, and do not pose as another person or as Sanjog Darpan staff.
- No unlawful content. Nothing obscene, defamatory, hateful, infringing or otherwise prohibited under Indian law.
Breaking these guidelines can lead to a warning, removal of content or suspension of the account. Decisions can be appealed through the support team or the grievance officer.
